I really enjoy the bright yellow of the fungus. The interesting spongy texture of the fungi greatly contrast with the roughness of the tree bark. The focus is on the fungus which is very pleasing to the eye.
I enjoy the dark color palette of this photo. I wore rubber boots outside and jumped in puddles in order to take this photo. The way the water drops seem that they might jump out of the picture. The muddy water captures the eseence of a rainy dreary day.
I took this photo and called it "one is not like rest". You would think that the lime is the one I am referring to, but I am referring to the lemon in the middle, since the lime and lemon on the left and right are fake. The lemon in the middle is real.
I took this photo of the models in a Christmas village I have in my house. The little girl is giving a women a gift. I feel that this photo embodies good feeling towards Christmas. As the young gi
There is a lot of texture in this photo. From the sharp sparkles on the Christmas bulb, the plastic weaving of the red and green garland to the little fake pine leaves in the bottom right corner. All of various components contrasts yet go together. With the warm lighting, I really feel that the texture of the photo shows a positive aspect to the Christmas decorations I captured in this photo.
This photo was taken of the space between two cinder blocks. I used various settings on the camera to create a blueish hue. I focused on the small line that leads the eye down into the dark black of the space below.
I took this photo with the intention of having the sun shining directly onto the face of the subject and with the rest of the photo being darker and colder to go with the blue and black of her clothing. As well as to go with the blue of objects behind her.
I really like how the focus is on the right of the photo with all the spiders soely on the right side of the skull. I feel like this draws the eyes to the subject matter, and follows the rule of thirds, in a much more deliberate way. The overexposed lighting caused by the cameras flash causes a look that reminded me of a flashlight, as if someone has shone their flashlight over the skull discovering it.
When I thought of worms eye view I immedietly thougth of the movie "Honey I shrunk the kids", and the scene where the kids are looking up at their dog. I thought of recreating this photo with my dog. I really enjoy the way the two blades of grass frame the focal point of the picture ( my dogs nose). I love the clarity of the leaves and grass, or how it alsmost feels as if the photo is taken from a litteral worms perspective, hiding among the dewy grass and dirt, as a huge terrorfing dog pondering nearby.
I took this photo in my neighbors garden. I was attracted to the deep orange of the flowers, since orange is such a fall color. I used the Aperture setting to blur out the red tree in the background. I really love how all aspects of the photo turned out, from the rain drops on the petals, the dying flowers on the side to the red cherry tree towering in a blurred out background, I really am proud of all of them.
